The mission of the Director of Content is to uphold the mission of Truth For Life to teach the Bible with clarity and relevance and our reputation for consistently excellent Bible teaching. The Director of Content directly oversees the Content Creation team and owns the process of all new TFL Biblical content creation.  This person has a primary responsibility for stewarding, curating, and enhancing the teaching of Alistair Begg through the production of audio, written, and video content.  This position is essential to supporting the mission of the ministry of Truth For Life.

2025 Top Priorities

  1. Support Alistair’s increased involvement with content creation directly through TFL (post-Parkside)
  2. Support rollout of audio versions of the daily devotionals
  3. Finalize the first two Verse by Verse inductive Bible studies with New Growth Press (two more in 2026).
  4. Assist Alistair with the development of On Being a Preacher
  5. Systematically curate and publish archival sermon content
  6. Support implementation of content storage system

Desired Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of 5 years in content creation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies, English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.  Seminary degree preferred.

Skills:

    • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
    • Strong understanding of SEO, content strategy, and digital marketing.
    • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools.

Accountabilities

Metric

Ensure all delivery channels are filled with content and no channel is lacking in variety or quality.

Central content plan details quantity and type of content being created for all available channels.

Responsible and accountable for final content quality.  All content must meet TFL’s high standards of excellence and theological soundness.

Process in place for content editing and oversight.  Final review of all material distributed through the ministry.

Work with Communications, Station Relations and Digital teams to package and promote content to specific audiences and maximize distribution channels.

Document and explore new content opportunities in conjunction with other Directors.

Encourage creative thinking among the content team, and mine the content archive to produce new formats of teaching.

Create new content annually from both existing and newly created sources.

Check references, spelling, grammar, writing style, design and images of all content with an ownership of TFL brand and style. 

Oversee and uphold the dedication to presenting quality communication across all content areas.

Support One Page Plan Priorities interdepartmentally

Priorities rated individually, per One Page Plan.  Liaison for the Content Team in strategic planning.

Continue monitoring AI trends and impacts on TFL and the content industry in general

Implement and document usage instructions for Ai in Content workflows

Create KPI’s to measure performance

Create 5 central KPI’s for the Content Department

Develop a world-class content team through recruitment, coaching, training and project planning.

Maintain team of 5 members, participate in 40 combined hours ongoing training, complete quarterly evaluations of each team member.  Expand the content team to include additional writers, audio producers and video producers.
